Startup Guide

ISKCON temples and centres represent the first impression of Krishna Consciousness to the general public. In a context of global importance of care for the Earth, especially among younger people, temples have the opportunity to be at the forefront of representing Krishna Conscious environmentalism to the general public.

This initiative is designed to support temples in moving towards more sustainable practices. Temples can work towards Tier I, Tier II, or Tier III environmental goals, according to their personal vision, budget, and staff/volunteer capacity. Our team is available to help you set and achieve your goals.

An important aspect of any project is celebrating successes. We want to help temples communicate their sustainable practices to their communities and to our global ISKCON network. That’s why signage, storytelling, and integrating sustainable practices into the culture of the temple are part of the Tiers.
Once you have achieved Tier I, Tier II, or Tier III, please share your story with us so we can feature you on this website.
